Games, outdoor fun, new friends and real-life skills. Pack 491 makes Cub Scouting easy for busy Madison families: one pack meeting and one den meeting a month, about 45 minutes each.

Cub Scouting Is Something We Do Together
Pack 491 is not a drop-off program. Parents take part in every den, from Lions to Arrow of Light, and we love having the whole family join in.
Parents in Every Den
A parent or guardian takes part in den meetings and activities right alongside their Scout, at every grade.
The Whole Family Is Welcome
Moms, dads, grandparents and caregivers: everyone is invited to cheer, help out and join the fun.
Siblings Come Too
Brothers and sisters are welcome at pack meetings and events, so the whole family can come along.

Your Child Joins a Den with Kids Their Age
Each grade has its own den with a volunteer den leader and age-right adventures. In every den, a parent or guardian takes part alongside their Scout.

Scouts collect cans and bottles from neighbors and race for the podium. Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd, revealed at the February pack meeting.
